Déirdre Kelly’s altered cartographies distort both the represented physical structure and the toponymy of places, leaving us certainly off the map, confused and disoriented.
Feeling disoriented when looking at a map is apparently something that goes against the epistemological nature of cartography but this is also a valuable feeling if we think of the way in which we use maps today.
